Before This young teen was using a room that needed painting and furnishing.  The well used mattress on the floor and other items seen here were being stored from his mother's room.  Aside from a new bed, this young man requested a desk. Before This young boy had an empty bedroom where the landlord had installed new flooring and baseboards.  This child really enjoys drawing and painting.  His favourite colour is blue. Before This refugee family with 3 children, had been given a lot of donations that were not necessarily meeting their needs.  This bedroom was painted and in good repair.  The two brothers using it were in elementary and secondary school and each really wanted his own bed.  As seen in the foreground, clothing storage was also an issue. Before Rents are higher than they have ever been in the city where this family lives.  The single mom works hard every day and just needed some help to get started in their new place.  Each boy has a mattress and box spring on the floor. Before . A refugee and her two young children had moved into the basement of a bungalow.  The homeowner had some living room furniture there but there were no beds.  So the family were sleeping on one loveseat and the floor. Before . This family lived in a 2 bedroom apartment but the second bedroom was used for storage.  With his mom's permission, this busy 16 year old cleared the room for his own use. After  This young man has plans to attend college in another city, so he asked if we could provide a loft bed. These two siblings were sharing a mattress on the living room floor.  A tiny bedroom was being used for storage, but measurements indicated it could hold two single beds.  They already had a white bed that just needed assembling. Before . This teen needed to escape family violence and was taken in by an extended family member.  In a busy apartment she was given this "sunroom" as her space.   A bed was needed and these old shower curtains were not providing much privacy from the adjacent apartment building. Before This twin was to have her own room for the first time.  But the room was currently being used to store her grandparents' belongings. . Before This room was in the top floor apartment of a very old building.  Each wall was either cement or lath and plaster and needed some patching.  The window wall was only 5'9, and the other end was 7' wide.  Between the two was a boxed in chimney .
