A Caring Teen And Her Little Sister

This lovely teen girl shares a room with her preschool sister.  They both needed new beds and solutions for clothing storage.  We also wanted to source a more practical window treatment.

After repairing and priming the walls, two of our volunteers painted the room a light sage green colour.  New striped curtains are shorter than the previous ones and are on a lovely decorative pole with pretty "glass" finials.

We replaced the little crib with a twin bed, complete with new mattress,bedding and duvet.  The big sister was given a new mattress and box spring in twin XL to better accommodate her height.  A beautiful solid wood headboard looks great on it.  Her donated dresser (not shown) has 5 drawers.  The second drawer folds out to be a desk surface with storage cubbies in the back.

A small antique dresser for the little sister's clothes was delivered following refinishing of its top surface.
