Before

This young fellow wanted his room painted blue. He needed a new mattress because his was hard and every metal coil could be felt through the covering. The dresser in his room was the only one for a family of five, so he really needed one of his own. His bed frame had three broken slats. During the Room for a Child installation, one of our volunteers showed him how to use an electric drill to repair and reinforce the slats on his own bed. He was thrilled to be able to take part.

After

After the painting, his new mattress was topped with new blue linens and a reversible comforter. A large, solid wood dresser and a matching hutch were installed to hold his clothes and display his favourite books and belongings
